Penetration Testing and VAPT for UK SaaS
Penetration testing and technical hardening designed to clear enterprise security reviews first time.
Enterprise buyers and security questionnaires rarely accept internal testing as proof. You need an independent vulnerability assessment and penetration test (VAPT) to show that your web application and cloud infrastructure are secure.
NodeForce provides rapid, developer-friendly VAPT sprints with expert remediation support, so you clear security reviews without stalling your sales pipeline.
Who this is for
UK SaaS companies that have received a customer request for a pen test report, or need one ahead of SOC 2, ISO 27001 or an enterprise security review.
The auditor fee is not included in this fixed fee.
Larger or more complex scopes are quoted upfront, so there are no surprises.
What is included in the sprint
You hand over your tools and context. You get back these documents: Risk register · Statement of Applicability · Custom policies · Internal audit report · Management sign-off pack
Application and API penetration testing
Manual and automated testing of your web application, microservices and APIs against the OWASP Top 10 and OWASP API Security Top 10.
Cloud infrastructure review
Configuration audits of your AWS, GCP or Azure environments, covering IAM policies, storage bucket permissions and network segregation.
Executive and technical reports
Reports with severity ratings, proof-of-concept evidence and clear remediation steps for developers.
Retest and attestation letter
A formal letter confirming completion and retest, ready to send to enterprise prospects.
Timeline
Most small teams finish in 4 weeks. Larger or more complex teams take up to 6.

Frequently asked questions
What is VAPT?
VAPT stands for Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing. A vulnerability assessment finds known weaknesses. A penetration test goes further and tries to exploit them, the way an attacker would, to show real-world impact.
What's the difference between a vulnerability scan and a penetration test?
A scan is automated and lists potential issues. A penetration test combines automated tools with manual testing by a human expert, so it finds logic flaws and chained attacks that scanners miss. Enterprise buyers usually want a manual pen test.
How much does a penetration test cost in the UK?
Our fixed fee starts from £4,500 for a SaaS application, API and cloud review with retest. The final price depends on the size and complexity of your scope, and we confirm it before work starts.
How long does a penetration test take?
Most of our sprints take 2–3 weeks from scoping to final report and retest, depending on scope and how quickly fixes are made.
Do enterprise customers require a penetration test?
Many do. Penetration test reports are commonly requested in security questionnaires and vendor reviews. They are also expected as part of SOC 2 and ISO 27001 programmes.
How often should we run a penetration test?
At least annually, and after major releases or architecture changes. Many frameworks and customer contracts require an annual test.
What does web application penetration testing cover?
Authentication and session handling, access control, injection flaws, insecure configuration, business logic issues and other risks in the OWASP Top 10.
Do you test APIs?
Yes. We test REST and GraphQL APIs against the OWASP API Security Top 10, including broken object-level authorisation and excessive data exposure.
What is a cloud security review?
A review of how your AWS, GCP or Azure environment is configured, covering identity and access management, storage permissions, network segregation and logging.
Will I get a pen test report I can send to customers?
Yes. You get an executive summary and a detailed technical report. After retesting, we also issue an attestation letter that you can share with customers.
What happens if you find critical vulnerabilities?
We tell you straight away rather than waiting for the final report. We give clear remediation guidance, then retest your fixes as part of the sprint.
Will testing affect our production systems?
We agree rules of engagement upfront. Testing is normally run against staging or a production-like environment, and any production testing is carefully controlled.
Does a pen test count towards SOC 2 or ISO 27001?
It supports both. SOC 2 and ISO 27001 require evidence of vulnerability management, and a pen test report is strong evidence.
